WINTER.pumpen supports engineering education at OTH Amberg-Weiden

A sound technical education requires not only theoretical knowledge but also hands-on experience with modern manufacturing technology. By providing the new lathe, valued at approximately €70,000, we are expanding the technical resources available for practical training at OTH Amberg-Weiden. The machine will be used at the Amberg campus, giving students the opportunity to gain practical experience with manufacturing processes and apply their theoretical knowledge directly on the machine.

As an industrial company, we consider this practical approach particularly important. A solid technical understanding and experience in working with modern machinery provide a strong foundation for a successful career in industry.

Keeping technical education up to date

In addition to conventional machining, the lathe offers digital features that support teaching and training. Technical processes and individual work steps can be introduced digitally before being put into practice directly on the machine.

This approach creates a meaningful link between theoretical knowledge and practical application. At the same time, students gain experience with technologies and working methods that are becoming increasingly important in modern manufacturing.

Strengthening collaboration between academia and industry

With this donation, we also aim to further strengthen the ties between academia and industry in our region. Regular exchange between universities and companies helps ensure that practical industry requirements and developments are reflected in technical education.
