Displacement pumps
Unlike conventional centrifugal pumps, positive displacement pumps work on the principle of displacement in a self-contained volume and, due to their design, are particularly suitable for pumping viscous/highly viscous media, at very high pressures and low volume flows. Winter.pumpen GmbH offers two different types, the Winter gear pump (WZP) and the Winter piston pump (WKP). Both pumps are self-priming and feature a durable, robust and maintenance-friendly design.
Typical areas of application for Winter positive displacement pumps are in the food and beverage industry as well as in shipbuilding, for transporting highly viscous media (e.g. cocoa mass and fats) as well as industrial products.
As standard, we use grey cast iron or bronze as materials for the pump casing and impeller. If your pump systems have to meet special requirements, the materials can also be adapted individually.
